GALAPAGOS AIRPORT AND FLIGHT INFORMATION
The Galapagos Islands have two airports receiving flights from mainland Ecuador. No International flights arrive directly to the islands.
The most frequently used airport is Baltra, located across a narrow straight from Santa Cruz Island, the other airport we find at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on the island of San Cristobal. Both airports have daily flights arriving and departing from/to Quito and Guayaquil. All flights to the Galapagos originate in Quito and make a stopover in Guayaquil. Airfares are the same to Baltra as to San Cristobal. It is possible to arrive at one island and return from the other.
We recommend you take a soft-sided bag to the Galapagos. Space is limited on board the yachts and ships, and a soft bag such as a duffel works best as it can be stored in a drawer or closet.
On flights to Galapagos you are allowed a maximum of 20 Kg (44 pounds) of luggage, excluding your hand-bag and carry on.
