Route: Chiclayo - Chachapoyas - Cajamarca - Trujillo
This program introduces you to the most important cultures of Northern Peru: Moches, Chimus, Chachapoyas and Inca, visiting Chiclayo, Chachapoyas, Trujillo and Cajamarca - site of the first contact between the Spanish conquistadors and the Inca civilization. This program is specially designed for those people with a special interest in archaeology, or for those with a taste for adventure. Highlights include: Chiclayo (Tucume pyramids & Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum), Chachapoyas (Kuelap fortress, Revash burial building & Mummy museum at Leymebamba), Cajamarca (Ransom room, artisans, Andean markets and Otuzco necropolis) and Trujillo (Sun & Moon temples, Chan Chan adobe city and colonial houses). Accommodation (1nt in Chiclayo, 2 nts El Chillo, 1 nt Leymebamba museum lodge, 2 nts Laguna Seca hotel and 1 nt Libertador Trujillo), meals according the program, treks, horse riding and overland transportation included.
